A Great American Moment
The Right Words, Well Delivered, Can Change History
As we see the horrific images of the killing of George Floyd and the worldwide protests that followed, we, once again, realize that we still have a long way to go to achieve our goal of equal treatment for all. In the early days of the modern-day civil rights movement, on August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech from the steps of the Lincoln Monument. You can see it, in its entirety, here. It is one of the great American speeches by a great American. He proved that day that the right words, at the right time, well delivered can change history and inspire generations for years to come.
